Bachelor of Arts and Science - Dramatic Arts/Mathematics Lethbridge, Alberta, CA Program Description For the Bachelor of Arts and Science, students must complete two majors: an Arts major, and a Science major. Dramatic Arts Through our rigorous program of hands-on theatre experiences, you refine your artistic techniques and develop lifelong skills such as creativity, confidence, and discipline. Courses in theatre history and theory provide a comprehensive understanding of drama’s essential role in society. If you are interested in drama and another subject area, a BA allows you to explore all your educational interests with more flexible degree options that allow more sciences, social sciences and humanities, while still focussing on drama. Build your program around your diverse interests across art, humanities, sciences and social sciences. Your program allows you to focus your attention on performance and technical/design courses as you come to understand and appreciate dramatic arts from around the world and immerse yourself in the study and the conversations about culture and creativity. Compliment your studies with courses outside your area of focus to achieve the goals you have set out for your future endeavours. Mathematics Mathematics is the study of structure and patterns in numbers and shapes. It is an active research area, providing a language, theories and models to solve complex problems across a wide variety of scientific, industrial and economic sectors. Over the past century, discoveries in pure mathematics have found unexpected applications in science, industry and finance, such as: secure internet transactions, Google, DNA sequencing and the stock market. As a math student, you will study both pure and applied mathematics, giving you the opportunity to see real-world applications of your studies. The program offers courses in four main areas: algebra, analysis, number theory and geometry, and statistics.
